About us

Our law firm was founded by Mr. Milan Kyjovský in 1990.

We are a Czech legal office providing consultations and representing Czech clients as well as foreign clients. We advocate our clients at courts of law and also in the scope of extra-judicial settlements. We provide full of our services in the German, English and Russian languages. Our office further represents commercial firms listed at the Prague Stock Exchange and also one Austrian bank institution. Apart from general legal advising, we concentrate on corporation law, commercial law, labor law, financial advising for juristic persons, bankruptcy law, industrial property law (especially trade mark law), unfair competition law and cartel law. We represent Czech as well as foreign clients in the Czech Republic.

  • JUDr. Milan Kyjovský

    Mr. Kyjovský founded the law firm in Brno in 1990. In 1991, Mr Kyjovský practiced law in one of the main law firms in Switzerland, the Krnet Hirt, Guolioti in Bern, where he specialized in representation of Swiss industrial corporations. In 1993, he visited the Salzburg seminar on American Rights and in 1995 participated in the Seminar on European Rights organized by the Danish Bar Association. From 1991 until 1995, he cooperated with the Prague legal office of Zeiner, Golan Nir & Partner where he had mainly been coordinating the legal foundation for international companies and establishments of their branches in the Czech Republic.

    Mr. Kyjovský specializes in industrial rights. He represents foreign legal entities in the Czech Republic, especially in the southern region of Moravia. He is also experienced with arbitration proceedings at various arbitration courts, i.e. the ICC Court of Arbitration in Paris.

    Mr. Kyjovský is a member of the AIPPI - the Czech branch of an organization devoted to intellectual rights. He is a member of the European Young Bar Association - EYBA - joining young European lawyers.

    For many years, he has been a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Czech Bar Association and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Bar Association.

    Mr. Kyjovský is fluent in the German, English, and Russian languages.

    JUDr. Martina Šupáková

    Languages: English, Italian, Slovak

    She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Masaryk University in Brno, the Czech Republic in 2004.

    In 2008 she received her Dr. Jur. at Faculty of Law of University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica, Slovak Republic with her thesis "Community Trade Mark".

    In 2008 she was admitted to the Czech Bar Association and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section within the Czech Bar Association since 2008. Dr. Martina Šupáková is also a member of the Slovak Bar Association.

    In 2010 she graduated at the Industrial Property Training Institute, the distance learning of industrial property protection organized by the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic.
    She focuses mainly on corporate law, industrial property rights, unfair competition and legal protection of intellectual property. She represents clients both in the Czech and the Slovak Republic.

    Mgr. Hana Kyjovská

    She studied the Law Faculty of the Masaryk University of Brno and graduated in 1998. During her study, she spent two months in the Suffolk University of Boston in 1995.

    She concentrates on foreign language cases. She is fluent in English, communicates also in German.

  • JUDr. Pavel Blažek, Ph.D.

    JUDr. Pavel Blažek, Ph.D. is an attorney-at-law since 1995. From 1992 until 2002, his held an official position of an expert assistant at the Administrative Law Department of the Masaryk University in Brno.

    In 1996, he successfully finished his theses on the topic of "Punishment in the frame of Administrative Law" and, in the same year, published a book - a monograph - on the same topic. Pavel Blažek attended a seminar at the Utrecht University, devoted to the European Union legal systems. Apart from his legal practice, he is active on the field of research work and maintains regular contacts with experts in various branches of law.

    From 1998 until 2002, he was a member of the Board of Appeal of the Securities Commission in Prague. In the election period 1998-2002, he was a member of the City Counsel of the district Brno-Center, after the municipal elections held in November 2002 he became a member of the City Counsel of the district Brno-Center as well as a member of the Municipal Counsel of the Brno city.

    JUDr. Hana Novotná

    Languages: English, German

    She is a graduate from the Law of Faculty, Masaryk University in Brno, the Czech Republic (2004). She received her Dr. Jur. in 2005 with her thesis „Occupational illnesses and accidents at work“.

    She was admitted to the Czech Bar Association in 2008.

    Her primary areas of specialization include labour law, corporate law and civil law, especially legal relations to real estates. Dr. Hana Novotná provides legal advice to domestic as well as foreign legal entities.

    Mgr. Bohumila Procházková

    Miss Procházková has studied the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno and graduated in summer 2002. During her study on the Masaryk University, she had been helping in a Brno law firm as a paralegal.

    In January 2003, she became a junior lawyer in the law firm of Kyjovský, Blažek & partners, her tutor being JUDr. Pavel Blažek, Ph.D. As far as her legal practice is concerned, she mainly deals with criminal law cases and bankruptcy law cases.

    She is fluent in English.
